Evening decompression

A short transition ritual to release the day before sleep, instead of carrying it into the night.

Framing

Without a deliberate transition, the nervous system stays in work mode long after work ends. Decompression is not about adding more — it is about closing what is open so sleep can do its job.

Checkpoints

Choose one signal that ends the workday (door closed, phone away, walk taken)
Write or speak one line acknowledging what is unfinished — and let it wait
Notice whether sleep onset becomes easier when the transition is ritualized
